Position Description

The Position:

The Branch Manager is responsible for all branch operations and activities as well as sourcing new member and business opportunities in growing the Branch at Landmark. The position will challenge the individual to foster relationships while recognizing members’ needs by promoting a full range of investment and lending products offered by Niverville Credit Union. Reporting to the CEO and to the Manager, Lending Services, this position contributes to the overall growth while adhering to policies and procedures consistent with Niverville Credit Union’s Vision, Mission and Values.

The Branch Manager will also be responsible in providing lending products and services to new/existing consumer members including conducting loan interviews to identify lending needs, analyze and adjudicate member’s credit applications, respond to member inquiries with respect to lending services, manage delinquency, collection and renewals while adhering to all legislation and security procedures.  They will also identify and refer cross selling opportunities to other NCU team members and be a liaison for the Commercial / Ag Lending Department.

Qualifications Required

You have five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive supervisory/lending experience in financial services or management experience in a related field of business and have a desire to learn a new industry. Post-secondary education in the related field such as Business Administration would be considered an asset. You should have demonstrated experience in a leadership role.  Excellent people, interpersonal, time, organizational management skills are also a requirement of this position.  Additionally, demonstrated understanding of risk management, relevant legislation and procedures are desirable.

Clearing Clerk

Position Description

Reporting to the Supervisor, Member Services, the Clearing Clerk role is part of the centralized administration team. The Clearing Clerk is responsible for various functions and duties related to back‐office processing and document administration for payments and clearing functions as well as providing support to other departments. The Clearing Clerk has a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with a drive to deliver outstanding service to internal teams as they support member transactions. This position is 35hr/week (with some flexibility in hours is available) located in Niverville.

Casual or Student Member Service Representative

Position Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, a Casual or Student Member Service Representative follows a program of education and skills development to acquire products and services knowledge and member service skills to accurately and efficiently provide transactional service to all members.  This position contributes to the overall member service experience that is consistent with Niverville Credit Union’s Vision, Mission and Values. The Member Service Representative responsibilities include answering members’ questions regarding credit union products and services and referring those members requiring additional advice or assistance to other specialists within the credit union.

KEY COMPONTENTS
  • Providing transactional service to members with accuracy, open and closing of memberships and handling cash
  • Soliciting new members and contributing to overall business development through service excellence, product knowledge and quality referrals.  Contributing to the achievement of branch sales and service targets and marketing plans.
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with transactions, ensuring that member information is kept private and secure.
