Loan Administrator

Niverville Credit Union, with branches in Niverville, Steinbach and Landmark serves over 9,000 members and has over $400 million in assets under administration. We have a staff compliment of over 40 employees spread over 3 Branches. The position is full-time, located at the Niverville Branch in Niverville MB.

The Position:

We are seeking a team player with a strong service focus, a high level of work accuracy and an ability to offer products and services to assist members in meeting their financial goals.

The Loans Administrator Position performs a variety of administrative functions associated with the setup and maintenance of Consumer, Residential, Commercial and Agricultural credit files. Responsibilities include the delivery of exceptional member service by providing administrative support to both Account Managers and Consumer Lenders while interfacing with members on various services. This also includes preparing and verifying documentation, security registration, keying information into the applicable software and banking systems, including any other duties as assigned.  Finally, an important role in this position includes ensuring all lending activities are in compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- High School or 3 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience of which 2 years involve administration experience,
- Business Administration Certificate would be an asset,
- Knowledge of Legislation; including the Credit Union Act,
- Practical knowledge and experience in Administration, Lending, and Customer Service Excellence,
- Working understanding of Credit Union services, philosophies, and principles.

Senior Manager of Finance
Full Time Permanent Position – Monday to Friday

The role:

As a member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Manager of Finance provides oversight, leadership, and their expertise to all financial aspects of the credit union including budgeting, analysis, and full cycle accounting functions.  Additionally, as the financial and reporting leader for NCU, a certain component of the role is to ensure that the credit union is achieving our regulatory and compliance requirements through our team of dedicated employees.

Some of the key functions of the position include:

1)            Lead the preparation of the annual corporate budget and the financial forecasts for the credit union
               including various illustrations, analysis, and hypotheses.

2)            Prepare financial statements and reports for monthly and quarterly financial statements, audited financial
               statements and regulatory reports to present to the executive team, board of directors or regulators.

3)            Provide technical direction on all areas of financial accounting, financial analysis and financial management
               including asset/liability management to the accounting and leadership teams.

6)            Gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements of the credit union

7)            Participate in the design, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures within both financial
               management and compliance functions

8)            Help administer and lead the risk and compliance functions of the credit union in partnership with the CEO.

9)            As part of the leadership team, discuss various areas as they relate to strategy, governance, and corporate
               objectives.

The requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess a Canadian professional accounting designation and have demonstrated leadership abilities in a prior role. A combination of relevant post secondary education and experience may also be considered. Prior credit union experience would be considered an asset. Prior risk and compliance experience would be considered an asset but not a requirement; chosen candidate must maintain a desire to learn and expand their knowledge in these areas.

Given the dynamic and fast-paced structure at Niverville Credit Union, excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational skills are also a requirement of this position.
